Create a Proposal to submit to your client!

Creating a Proposal


Step 1: Go to your Work Order or Project to submit a proposal.


Step 2: Click the '+' on the button in the top right and select 'Proposal'.




Step 3: Fill in the required information and select 'Save'.




Step 4: Fill in the Scope of Work to describe what needs to be done to complete the job.


Step 5: Create line items to add your company costs, and charges for the client.




Step 6: Verify all information in the proposal.


Step 7: Click 'Save' in the top right of the invoice to save your information.


Step 8: Once the information is saved, click the 'Submit' button to send to your client.




Step 9: When the proposal is approved, your Work Order will be updated.



Converting a Proposal to an Invoice

This creates an invoice with the same information as your proposal so you don't have to enter it twice.


Step 1: Go to the Proposal that you want to make in Invoice out of.


Step 2: Open the Context Menu and select 'Convert to Invoice'.




Step 3a: Click the confirmation at the bottom of the page to be brought to the invoice.




Step 3b: The invoice can also be found in the invoice list of the Work Order.


Step 4: Modify your invoice information as needed (ex: Invoice #, title, bill-to)

Permissions


Work Order Proposal

ViewGive you visibility of the Client Proposal tab in a work order.
Add NewAllows you to add a new client proposal.
Add NoteAllows you to create a note in a client proposal.
Change StateAllows you to Submit/Cancel/Approve/Reject client proposals.
Convert To InvoiceAllows you to convert a client proposal to a client invoice.
Delete NoteAllows you to delete notes in a client proposal.
Edit Any StateAllows you to edit the status on a submitted/approved/canceled/rejected proposal.
Requires the 'Edit Fields' permission.
Edit FieldsAllows you to edit a work order client proposal in the 'Open' state.
Edit NoteAllows you to edit a note in a client proposal.
ExportAllows you to send email and download a client invoice in a work order.
View AuditAllows you to view the audit of a client invoice.
Edit Line Item TaxAllows you to edit the Tax section of the Line Items.
Requires the 'Edit Fields' permission.
