Umbrava requires certain permissions from your browsers or phones to be able to perform actions in the app. These actions range from clocking in/out of a Work Order to adding a document. This process will cover Location permissions specifically, but can be used to allow any other permission that may be needed.
Computer Browsers
Each browser could have some variance with how permissions are changed, but the steps should be similar. For this example, I will be showing Google Chromes settings.
Step 1: Open the browsers context menu and click the "Settings" option. |
Step 2: In the search bar, look up "Permissions". |
For Chrome: Select "Site Settings" For Firefox: Click on the specific permission you are looking to give Umbrava access to.
Step 3: In the Site Settings page, click on the Location permission section. |
Step 4: Add "app.umbrava.com:443" to the 'allowed to see your location' list. |
Mobile Browser
There will be differences with allowing permissions for both Apple and Android products, but the steps should be similar. For this example, I will be showing settings from an iPhone.
Step 1: Open your browser and open app.umbrava.com. |
Step 2: Once signed in, clock in or out of a Work Order to prompt for permissions. |
Step 3: Your browser will also require permissions and prompt you to 'Allow'. |
Mobile App
The mobile app has its own set of permissions as all apps on your mobile phone have. These can be updated in the 'Settings' app on your phone. For this example, I will also be using an iPhone.
Step 1: Download and sign into the Umbrava app from the app store. |
Step 2: Attempt to create a Work Order or clock in/out of a Work Order. |
Step 3: Select one of the Allow options from the mobile prompt for location permissions. |
If you clicked 'Don't Allow'
Step 4: Open up the Settings app. |
Step 5: Search "Umbrava" and tap on the Umbrava app in the Settings. |
Step 6: Tap on location and grant access from here. |
