Features:

General Changes:

Email Modal Contact Update (US-5649,5615,6041): We have implemented a smarter mechanism for sending emails, given what is being emailed, by auto-populating the To and CC dropdowns in a targeted way. The email modal will no longer populate ALL contacts for the vendor/client, and will only populate the relevant emails.

Sales field on Client Details (US-5983): We have added a 'Sales' field to the Client profile. The field has a dropdown menu to assign any user in your company. A sales person can be assigned upon client creation or after creation. It is not a required field, but can be reported on.

Projects Changes:

Timeline Improvement - Constraints (US-5398): We have added some additional function to the Auto-Schedule feature on the Project Timeline. We have given projects, tasks, and milestones constraints that will tie them to the other projects/tasks/milestones that are linked.

In order to use this new feature, go to your project timeline and turn Auto Schedule on. New columns will appear for "Constraint Type" and "Constraint Date". The tasks will default to the "As Soon As Possible" rule, and can be changed in either the sidebar, or by clicking the task/milestone/project and opening the modal.

Constraint Type

Outcome

As Soon As Possible

If this constraint is set to an independent task, the task starts on the specified date.
If this constraint is set to a dependent task, the task starts as soon as its predecessor tasks end.

As Late As Possible

If this constraint is set to an independent task, the task ends at the same time that the project does. If this constraint is set to a dependent task, the end of the task coincides with the start of its immediate successor task.

Start No Earlier Than

the task can start on the specified date or after it.

Start No Later Than

the task can start on the specified date or before it.

Finish No Earlier Than

the task can end on the specified date or after it.

Finish No Later Than

the task can end on the specified date or before it.

Must Start On

the task can start exactly on the specified date.

Must Finish On

the task can end exactly on the specified date.

The constraints can be applied to a Timeline Template and will persist once added to an active project.

The 'Manage Project' permission encompasses the below permissions:
