What is a Service Area?

A service area in Umbrava provides a reference point for clients that are looking for a vendor when assigning a Work Order. A service area can be as specific as a direct address, or as broad as a full state. This will let your clients know that you are able to provide your services in or around the specified area.

Your first service area will always be set up with the first address that was added to your profile. If this address changes, you will need to update the service area as well.

Setting Up Service Areas

You can set your service areas in your company profile. There is a Service Areas tab in the side bar that will show you all current service areas and with the right permissions, allow you to add more.

To add a service area:

  1. select the '+' button at the top of the screen
  2. search an address or location
  3. select Save

If you select a state, county, zip code, the distance from the service area will be calculated from the center point of the area input.

These added service areas will make sure your company appears when clients are looking for vendors near your specified service areas.
