2025.15: Clock In/Out Geofence and Default Sharing

Created by Kenneth Abad, Modified on Fri, 11 Apr at 9:58 AM by Danita Leach

Features:

Clock In/Out Geofencing (US-8053): Vendors will be able to verify that they are onsite for the time clocked in with the new geofencing ability for Clock In/Out. The distance from the location will be shown on a map when clocking in/out. This change has been updated for both the web and mobile app, make sure your mobile app is up to date to see all the latest features!

The current location on the map is represented by the blue circle, your clock in location is the yellow pin, and the location coordinates are the red pin on the map. The map will tell you if you are onsite or offsite depending on your client's range that is permitted for clock in/out. If you are out of range, the ability to clock in/out may be disabled until you are within range.

For clients, a range can be set for your locations to ensure that vendors are onsite for the work orders that are assigned to them. The range can be set on your company profile in the Work Order settings.

Setting this range updates the required range for all of your locations. You can set the range on the location details pages as well; this setting will take precedence over the general profile setting.

We've updated our help documents to include these new changes if you would like more details!

Clock Out Reason Changes (US-7952): We have updated the Clock Out reasons when clocking out of a Work Order. 2 new reasons have been added to the list to select from and selecting these options will change the Work Order to the following statuses:

  1. Pause → Clocked Out: In Progress
  2. Need Material → Clocked Out: In Progress

In addition to the new reasons, we've updated Proposal Needed to now be 'Need Proposal' to keep the naming consistent.

Integrated clock in/out information can also be mapped to the new statuses as needed.

Vendors Default Share Notes & Documents (US-8141): To streamline communication in Umbrava, we've updated notes and documents in Work Orders and Projects to make the default option share when adding a note or document. This update is only for the vendors in the app. Clients will still have to manually share notes/documents to a purchase order they have added to a Work Order or Project.

If a vendor wants to add a note or document for internal viewing, you can select the 'Add without Sharing' option. The note/document can still be shared after it is created.

These changes also affect the mobile app when adding a note/document to a Work Order.

Bug Fixes:

Insurance Expiring Email Sending Every Hour (US-8508): Our notification service had a bug over the weekend that was repeating the insurance expiration email instead of only sending a single time. We were able to fix the bug quickly once the bug was brought to our attention. The email notifications will now only send once as expected.
